Paul Robert Carey, beloved seventh son of former New York Governor Hugh L.Carey and Helen Owen Carey, served as Special Assistant for Legislative Affairs to President William Jefferson Clinton.He was the 77th Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Paul achieved many of his greatest accomplishments in public service while battling cancer and he found great strength in helping others fight the disease.The Paul Robert Carey Foundation was founded by his family, friends and physician to return the blessings we all shared in him, by enabling people battling cancer and other diseases to obtain vital quality of life needs and services not funded by traditional medical reimbursements.
